Fast Forward

The lack of posts represents my chaotic last few months. This quarter has been much more hectic than the one before. My priority to do list goes something like this:

Have less to do.

Here is a list of my updates, in whichever order they pop into my head.

1) I am going to spend the summer here:




I will be in Nairobi from June till early September working for the Kenya Human Rights Commission. It is through a UW pilot program and I will be one of 4 graduate students at an internship site, simultaneously taking classes. Very excited! But currently applying for funding and scholarships. It is unpaid and NOT cheap! It will satisfy my internship requirement for one of my degrees and hopefully guide me towards a masters thesis topic.

2) I don't like statistics. I am not good at statistics. Those two are probably correlated. While the following comic strip makes statistics seem ok, it isn't.

3) During a rough and stressful patch, I received these on my doorstep:

4) I very recently spent time here:



Absolutely breathtaking. This was the view after snowmobiling up to the top. I love the Rockies. And I really the like the person I went with.

5) I am going to Moab, Utah for a short trip during spring break. Really looking forward to it! Just need to survive finals before that..........

6) We took some family photos. The stereotypical professional kind. Afterwards, when we were supposed to be changing and leaving, we had some fun with the cheesy props, my favorite being the tiny chairs.
