Ice Day

Since the US govt is the center of universe (!!) or at least the entire work world around here, I got to go home around that very time. But first, I had to battle the METRO. It was crazy packed. Foreign country style. It's kinda fun. I almost had a giggle attack while on a train by watching people and their reactions to the crowds. It took me a while to actually get home since the trains had a hard time closing their doors against the crowds (they averaged about 5 tries) and then the ice rain made for slow walking home.

But the weather was a bit nicer over the weekend and I ventured out to the zoo with a housemate and said hi to the pandas. The things that amused me more than anything though consisted of 'gross' things. Such as the panda poop you see here.

I guess it was still kinda cold outside since my nose appears to be pretty much red.

The most disgusting creature I saw was definitly the hippo. They really should just stay in the water. But this one didn't and instead blew poop all over the wall in it's cage . It was so gross it was fascinating and I could not walk away! The elephants were predictably smelly too and I think the only other picture I got at the zoo was me covering my nose in front of an elephant.

Later that day, I went out to a nice dinner with some of my housemates. (I had a coupon!)
Laura and I moved into TMH at the same time. Oh, TMH stands for Thompson-Markwood Hall, otherwise known as the Young Womens Christian Home, otherwise known as The Nunnery, otherwise known as The Virgin Vault. No guys are allowed in case you hadn't figured that out yet.

My blog goal is to figure out how to link music. I'm sure it is a very obtainable goal so I figure I might as well start off with small goals!
