Vaccines are taking their toll

So I'm feeling pretty blah.

About a week ago I had shots for Hep A and Hep B and took a typhoid vaccination orally for about a week. About two days ago I had my second Hep B shot. Yesterday I felt pretty crappy.

I don't know if it is directly because of the vaccinations or if it is just that my body is so busy fight Hepatitis and Typhoid that a common cold snuck in and took over my immune system.

I had a horrible sore throat yesterday and was uber achey. The body aches are gone today and my sore throat is almost all gone.....but my body just feels worn out!

I gave a presentation at IJM today. All the interns were required to give individual "this is IJM" presentations. I went dead last. A tough spot to be in. But I have always enjoyed presenting. It was slightly intimidating since there was a critique panel comprised of IJM employees who often give presentations as their job! But I received great feedback and lots of encouragement. My mentor even gave me a hug and said she was SO proud of me!

I just hope I can really utilize this gift to advocate for victims of oppression.
